MISSION STATEMENT
The Caribbean Drug Abuse Research Institute (CDARI) was formed in 2003 by a group of researchers in response to a need to create an Institution that will support research into the public health risks of hidden populations that more traditional and conservative institutions might shy away from.

The mission of CDARI is to contribute to the following broad areas of drug abuse research:

• To provide unbiased scientific research in the field of public health and medical consequences of drug use.
• To promote a public health approach to substance use and misuse.
• Assess what works in prevention, treatment, and criminal justice.
• Promote translation of findings from basic to applied research to practice and policy formation.

International Recognition

The IRB/IEC Organization (IORG) was registered for CDARI and assigned an IORG Identifier IORG0003293

The USA Federalwide Assurance FWA 00006111 has been approved for CDARI.
